White Ceramic Casa de Familia Bottle Vase

The architect Josep Maria Jujol was Antoni Gaudí's closest collaborator. The design of this sculptural bottle is an intriguing tale. Jujol created the piece in a glass especially for the eponymous orphanage in 1912. Now it takes a leap forward, a new and improved more durable version in ceramic. Its tactile relief and tapered silhouette are more evident. The water decanter was designed for the orphanage of the same name. It's a simple and humble piece that magnificently demonstrates all his artistic ability. BD Barcelona design has faithfully reproduced it from the only image still in existence of the original model, the photo was cleverly taken in front of two mirrors which clearly show the sculptural working to the full.
